Octiga is a Galway based Cyber Security Software as a Service (SaaS) company. It was founded in late 2018 by Sash Vasilevski and Dr Rob McFeely. The founders brought together their expert knowledge of cybersecurity and software delivery to begin work on a set of products automate cybersecurity for Small and Medium Enterprises. Work started in early 2019 from Galway's tech and innovation hub; the PorterShed. The team soon grew to comprise of a small dedicated software team.
Our Mission is to help SME's easily cost-effectively achieve cybersecurity goals. Such goals are traditionally achieved through in-house expertise which comes at a considerable cost, and serves as a barrier for many small to medium enterprises in achieving even a minimal cybersecurity stance. Octiga aims to leverage cloud service to let non-expert clients achieve the same results through our guided online platform.
Co-founder and Product Director Dr Robert McFeely is a Donegal native but now calls Galway his home. He brings 9 years of (enterprise) software development experience. This includes 5 years at Hewlett Packard, and 4 years leading software teams bringing new enterprise platforms to market at Bluetree Sytems and the Postgraduate Application Centre. Before his enterprise experience, Robert completed a PhD in Image Processing and B Eng in Computer and Electronic Engineering from NUIG.
Sash Vasilevski, brings over 15 years of experience in information security including running a successful cyber security consultancy in Sydney, Australia.
